Choose a time you already have
A short daily reading habit needs a reliable place in your schedule more than a large goal. Choose ten minutes after breakfast, on a commute or before bed. Attach it to something that already happens rather than promising to find spare time later.
Make the next page easy to reach
Keep a book downloaded and your reader set to resume at the last position. Decide what you will read before the session begins. Browsing a library for eight minutes is not the same as reading for eight minutes, and it can turn a small habit into a chore.
Track consistency, not speed
A few pages every day can be more useful than finishing a book quickly and forgetting it. If you read nonfiction, finish by writing one useful idea. For fiction, simply enjoy the story. Do not let page counts push you to skim.
Plan for missed days
Missing a day does not require catching up with a long session. Open the book again at your next normal time. If ten minutes regularly feels impossible, reduce the target to five and keep the routine stable.
Review your setup after a week
Notice when you actually read, whether notifications interrupted you and whether the book suited the available time. Adjust the environment first; changing goals every day rarely solves a noisy setting or an awkward reader.
Make your next session easy to start: keep one book ready in Readream Basic and return to its saved place when your ten-minute reading window comes around.
